Senior PHP Developer

Senior - Romania - Flexible Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our team. You will play a key role in building, maintaining, and evolving our platform. You’ll follow best coding practices and have the chance to influence architectural decisions while growing your expertise. If you're passionate about clean code, solving real-world problems, and working on meaningful projects, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-performance SaaS applications using PHP and Node.js.
  • Collaborate with the team architect to implement scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment.
  • Write clean, well-tested code following established standards and best practices.
  • Conduct and participate in code reviews, contributing to team knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Contribute to modernizing legacy systems and improving existing codebases.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and suggest improvements to development processes.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with PHP.
  • Solid experience with Node.js in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel and/or Symfony) and modern PHP standards.
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerized development workflows.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control best practices.
  • Experience with unit testing (PHPUnit, Jest/Mocha) and integration testing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
  • Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
Nice to have
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Familiarity with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka) or caching solutions (Redis).  
  • Experience with Vector databases, such as Milvus or Chroma.
  • Frontend experience (Vue.js, React) for full-stack context.
  • Exposure to LLM integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini).
  • Experience with LangChain, LangSmith, LangGraph.
