Cookie policy

Last Updated: 03.04.2025

This Cookie Policy explains how Lynx Solutions SRL (“Lynx Solutions”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our corporate Website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy which details how we handle personal data and our Terms and Conditions which govern the use of our site. By using our Website, you agree to the use of cookies as described in this Policy (to the extent they are necessary for site function). If you do not agree, you may disable cookies in your browser, but note that some essential features of the site may be affected.

Our approach to cookies is simple: we aim to use minimal cookies on our Website. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies that invade your privacy. In fact, at present, the only cookies in use are those deemed strictly necessary for the operation and security of the site or for services explicitly requested by users (such as our contact form protection and scheduling widget). This Policy provides details on the cookies that are in use and how you can manage them.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit websites. Cookies serve a variety of functions: they can enable site features, store user preferences, keep you logged in, or gather analytics data, among others. Each cookie is unique to your web browser and contains certain information, such as a unique identifier, the site name, and some digits and numbers.

There are different types of cookies:

  • Session cookies: These are temporary cookies that remain in your browser’s cookie file only for the duration of your visit. They are deleted when you close the browser. Session cookies are often used for things like keeping you logged in during a visit or remembering what’s in your shopping cart (if applicable) as you move page to page.
  • Persistent cookies: These cookies remain stored on your device after you close your browser, for a fixed period or until you delete them. Persistent cookies are used to remember preferences or behaviors for your next visits (for example, a cookie that keeps you logged in, or remembers your chosen language on a site).
  • First-party cookies: These cookies are set by the website you are visiting (the domain shown in the browser’s address bar). Only that website can read them.
  • Third-party cookies: These are set by a domain other than the one you are visiting, usually because the website has integrated some third-party service or content (like videos, social media plug-ins, or analytics scripts). Third-party cookies can be used to track you across multiple sites (for example, advertising networks use third-party cookies to profile users’ browsing habits).

Cookies can be very useful (for example, to remember your preferences), but they can also be used for unwanted tracking. That is why data protection laws like the GDPR and ePrivacy Directive require user consent for certain types of cookies (like those used for analytics or advertising) and transparency about their use.

How We Use Cookies on Our Website

Lynx Solutions takes a privacy-friendly approach to cookies. We have designed our new Website to function with only essential cookies. This means:

  • We do not use any cookies for analytics or statistical tracking of users (no Google Analytics or similar).
  • We do not use any cookies for advertising, marketing, or social media tracking.
  • We only use cookies that are needed for core functionality of the site or services that you actively use on the site.

As of the latest update, the cookies you may encounter on our Website are:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies
    • These cookies are necessary for the Website to function correctly and securely. They are usually set in response to actions made by you, such as logging in (if applicable), submitting forms, or as part of security measures. Because they are essential, they do not require user consent under applicable law – however, we still want to inform you about them.
    • The necessary cookies on our site include:
    • _cfuvid – This cookie is set by our integrated scheduling tool (Calendly) via the Webflow platform. Its purpose is to maintain session consistency and security when you use the Calendly meeting scheduler on our Website. Specifically, Calendly (in conjunction with Cloudflare, a web security provider) uses _cfuvid to distinguish between legitimate users and bots and to ensure that your scheduling session is carried through smoothly. This cookie is a session cookie, meaning it is only present during your browsing session on our site and should expire shortly after you leave the site or close your browser. It does not store personal information about you beyond a session ID and is not used for tracking across sites. Categorization: Necessary/Functional for scheduling feature.
    • wf_auth – This cookie is set by Webflow (the content management and hosting platform for our Website). It is an authentication cookie used by Webflow’s system. On our site, this cookie might appear but it is largely an internal mechanism – typically used if there were user login areas or editor login on the site. In our case, regular visitors of the public site are not logging into anything, so this cookie is not actively utilized for your browsing experience. It might be set to “past” or have no valid data, which means it’s essentially a placeholder that expires immediately. It does not track you or store any of your data. You might see it listed in your browser’s cookie storage with our domain (or *.webflow.io domain) but it’s an uncategorized technical cookie. Categorization: Necessary (for platform authentication, though not applicable to public users, it’s still a cookie triggered by the platform).
    • Cookies for CAPTCHA (if used): If Google reCAPTCHA is deployed on our forms, it may set a cookie such as _GRECAPTCHA or similar under the Google.com domain. This cookie is used by reCAPTCHA to provide its spam protection function – for example, it helps distinguish genuine users from bots by remembering the user’s interactions. The reCAPTCHA cookie will appear only if the CAPTCHA is loaded, and it typically expires after a short period. It is considered strictly necessary for security: without it, the reCAPTCHA service might not function properly and our forms could be vulnerable to spam. We do not see or control the contents of this cookie; it is used by Google to provide the reCAPTCHA functionality.
    • We categorize all the above as Necessary Cookies because they enable services you explicitly use (like sending a message or scheduling a meeting) or are required for the core security and operation of the site. These cookies do not require prior consent, but we still want to be transparent about them.
  • Functionality & Preference Cookies
    • At present, our site does not set any separate cookies to remember user preferences or enhance functionality beyond the core necessary ones listed above. (For example, we do not have a language toggle or theme switch that would require storing your preference in a cookie.) If in the future we introduce any user preference features that use cookies, we will update this policy to inform you.
  • Analytics Cookies
    • We do not use analytics cookies. Our site does not employ any analytics tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or others that would set cookies to track visitor behavior. That means no information about your page views, clicks, or browsing patterns on our site is being collected via cookies for analytical purposes. We have deliberately chosen not to include these to respect your privacy. Any basic insights we gather about site usage (like page hit counts) are done in an anonymized way via server logs or similar, without cookies or identifying data.
  • Advertising/Marketing Cookies
    • We do not use advertising cookies or targeting cookies on our corporate Website. You will not encounter third-party advertising networks or tracking pixels (such as Facebook Pixel, Google Ads cookies, etc.) on our site. We do not display third-party ads, and we do not profile visitors for marketing. Therefore, no cookies of this category are present.
  • Third-Party Cookies and Embedded Content
    • The only third-party service integrated into our site that may set cookies is the Calendly scheduling widget and Google reCAPTCHA, as discussed. There is no other embedded third-party content on our site that sets cookies (e.g., we currently do not embed YouTube videos, social media feeds, or maps that might bring their own cookies). If we add any such features in the future (for example, embedding a YouTube video on a blog post), those third-party tools might set cookies – and we will update this Cookie Policy accordingly to list them.

Summary of Cookies Used:

  • _cfuvid
    • Provider/Domain | Webflow/Calendly (webflow.io subdomain)
    • Purpose | Session consistency for Calendly scheduling widget; also used by Cloudflare for bot detection.
    • Type & Duration | Session cookie (deleted at end of session).
    • Category | Necessary (functional/security)
  • wf_auth
    • Provider/Domain | Webflow (our domain or webflow.io)
    • Purpose | Webflow platform authentication (not used for public visitors, essentially a placeholder).
    • Type & Duration | Session cookie (expires immediately or “Past”).
    • Category | Necessary (functional/security)
  • _GRECAPTCHA (or other reCAPTCHA cookies)
    • Provider/Domain | Google.com (third-party)
    • Purpose | Spam protection via Google reCAPTCHA on forms (distinguish humans vs bots).
    • Type & Duration | Persistent cookie (approx. 6 months) set by Google; only if reCAPTCHA is loaded.

Note: The exact cookie names and durations are accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of writing. These may change if the third-party providers (Webflow, Calendly, Google) update their technology. We will periodically review and update our cookie list. Also, some cookies may not always be present — for example, if you never use the scheduling feature, the Calendly cookie might not be set for you at all.

Managing and Disabling Cookies

Since we only use essential cookies, our site does not feature a cookie consent pop-up (because we don’t need to ask for consent for the limited necessary cookies we use). However, we believe in giving you control. If you prefer to restrict or block cookies, you can do so through your browser settings. Here is some general guidance:

  • Browser Settings: Most web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.) allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies for websites. You can typically find these options in the browser’s “Settings” or “Preferences” menu, under sections like Privacy or Security. For example, in Chrome you can go to Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data. In Safari, Preferences > Privacy. You can choose to block third-party cookies (which would not affect our necessary cookies since ours are first-party or related to the site’s subdomain) or even block all cookies. You can also clear existing cookies at any time.
  • Cookie-by-Cookie Choices: Some browsers allow you to set permissions for specific websites. You could, for instance, allow cookies for trusted sites and block for others. In our case, if you trust our site, you likely don’t need to change anything to allow the essential cookies. If you blocked all cookies from our domain, you would still be able to read content, but functions like the contact form or scheduling might not work properly.
  • Do Not Track Signals: Our site currently does not respond differently to “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals, because we don’t do any cross-site tracking to begin with. DNT is a browser feature that allows users to tell websites they do not want to be tracked. Even though we don’t honor it in a special way, our default practice of not setting tracking cookies aligns with the intent of DNT.
  • Opt-Out of Third-Party: For the few third-party components we use (like Google reCAPTCHA or Calendly), there isn’t a direct opt-out for their strictly necessary cookies aside from disabling them via browser settings, since those are required for the service functionality. However, you could avoid those cookies by not using the related features on our site (e.g., if you choose not to use the contact form, reCAPTCHA won’t load; if you choose not to schedule via Calendly, its cookie won’t be set). We realize that’s not a true “opt-out” if you need to use the feature, which is why we emphasize these cookies are only deployed when necessary for a feature you voluntarily use.

If you do choose to disable cookies via your browser, please be aware of the following impacts on our site:

  • You will still be able to browse informational pages, read about our services, and navigate most of the site normally.
  • If you disable the Webflow cookies (wf_auth etc.), there should be no noticeable effect for you as a visitor, since those are not actively used.
  • If you disable the Calendly cookie or block cookies entirely, the scheduling widget might treat you as a new session if you navigate between pages, or it may not load at all. You might need to re-enter information if the session cookie is blocked.
  • If you disable reCAPTCHA cookies or scripts, our contact form might not submit because it cannot verify you. In that case, you may see an error or simply not be able to send the form. If this occurs, you can contact us directly via email or phone as listed on our site as an alternative way to reach us.
  • Remember that blocking cookies does not delete existing cookies. If you want to remove cookies that have already been set, you need to clear them from your browser data.

For comprehensive information on how to manage cookies in your specific browser, you can consult the browser’s help documentation or websites like allaboutcookies.org which provide detailed guides.
